About Karin Rönnerman

Research interests
I have been interested in developing our knowledge of the professional development of teachers. I have done so primarily through action research, which means that researchers and practitioners participate in a common process in which the respective fields of knowledge enrich each other to achieve an understanding of the practice and the contexts in which it is involved. In these processes, particular attention is paid to teachers’ learning and actions.

Teaching interests
My teaching interests touch on the research I pursue. I take part in courses on school development and quality development in institutions. I have a particular interest in the development of methods issues and their application in educational contexts. I supervise theses dealing with developmental projects and evaluation of activities.
